Most price apps just tell you WHERE to buy. BuyersMarket tells you WHEN to buy.

Our A-B-C rating system uses a layered algorithm that analyzes price history and compares across stores to show you:

• A (Grab It!) - Significantly below the typical price. Buy now.

• B (Fair Price) - In the normal range. Fine to buy if you need it.

• C (Hold Off) - Above the typical range. Wait if you can.

We're not just showing you today's prices—we're showing you today's opportunity.

We collect prices every day, automatically, from 14 stores at 8 chains, and our community adds prices from receipts, barcodes, shelf photos and WhatsApp.

Prices that look wrong are held back until they're checked. Each A-B-C rating compares a price with what other chains charge for the same item, then with that store's own recent prices.

We collect prices every day from 14 stores at 8 chains: Hi-Lo (6 stores), PriceSmart (2), Loshusan, Mastermac, Gibbo Trading, Fedlin, K&M Meats and Sampars. We also show 30 more stores with an estimated price range; those stores never get an A-B-C rating, because we don't check them every day.

We're expanding coverage regularly. Don't see your favorite store? Let us know—we prioritize additions based on community requests.

BuyersMarket uses a freemium model:

• Free - Prices from 14 stores collected every day, A-B-C ratings, unlimited lists and price alerts, best store for your list with gas and drive time, 30 days of price history, and Penny (30 questions a day, 10 photos a month).

• Premium (J$299/month or J$2,990/year) - Penny watches your lists overnight and moves them to a cheaper store, your usuals priced near you, a weekly plan for your budget, unlimited Penny questions and photos, every Market Watch trend, 90 days of price history, Price Memory alerts, weekly savings reports and data export. Premium is free for everyone for the first 3 months after launch, and you can also earn it with points for the prices you share.

We also offer a pricing service to supermarkets and brands. It never changes the prices or ratings shoppers see.

That's exactly why we built the A-B-C rating system. Instead of doing mental math or trying to remember what you paid last month, just look for the badge:

• Green "A" = Best time to buy (significantly below the typical price)

• Orange "B" = Normal range (close to what it typically costs)

• Red "C" = Hold off if possible (above the typical range)

We take the guesswork out of "is this a good deal?" so you can shop with confidence.

Yes. We take privacy seriously:

•Receipt photos are uploaded securely and read by AI to pull out prices; see our [Privacy Policy](/privacy) for how long we keep them

•Photos you send Penny are read once and never stored

•We don't sell your personal information to third parties

•Any data shared with partners is anonymized and aggregated

•You control what you share through our privacy settings

Our business model is built on helping you save money, not selling your data.

We want to know. If you spot a discrepancy:

•Tap the "Report Price" button on any product page

•Upload a photo of your receipt or shelf price tag

•We check it, and hold the price back from ratings and deals until it's sorted

Price accuracy improves when our community stays active—that's the power of crowdsourced data.

Penny is BuyersMarket's AI shopping assistant, on the app and the web.

• Ask her anything about prices: "Where is Grace rice cheapest?" She checks our prices first and shows each item as a row: the best store, the price, its A-B-C rating and how many supermarkets she compared.

• Send a photo of a flyer, a shelf tag, a receipt or your fridge. She says what she saw and tells you if it's a good buy.

• Build and change your lists: "Add 2 tins of mackerel" adds two.

• With Premium, she works overnight: she watches your lists and moves one to a cheaper store when prices change, prices your usuals near you, and builds a weekly plan around your budget. Every change she makes comes with a one-tap undo.

Penny only recommends stores in your shopping area, and the verdicts (good buy, cheaper elsewhere) are worked out from our price data, never guessed by the AI.

Market Watch shows which prices actually went up or came down over the last 30 days, store by store. It doesn't predict anything: a change has to hold for at least two readings, and a big jump must be confirmed by other chains or by the brand's other items, so a one-day listing mistake doesn't show up as a price rise. Free shows the top 5 moves; Premium shows them all.

BuyersMarket is launching soon, with a bigger catalogue, smarter store matching, Penny and a web version. A public beta ran on the App Store and Google Play from March 2026.
